While The Submission Guidelines for every Comic and Manga Publisher in the Universe is missing some important publishers, and some of the information is outdated, Jason Thibault has put together a helpful list of submission guidelines for comics and manga publishers around the globe.

If you are serious about submitting your comics to publishers, then you probably already have a list of 3-5 whose work you’ve been following for some time and would be a good fit for your work. If you haven’t already visited their website, find them on this list and see what they are looking for. Some publishers even have submission guidelines for writers only, as well as inkers, colorists, letterers, etc.

For those of you who want to know more about publishing, I’m putting together a simple, easy-to-use guide on the subject and would be happy to try and answer any questions you might have. Feel free to leave a comment below, or get in touch at

  1. HUGE update coming to the submission guidelines master list soon. But it will show up on a different website. Stay tuned.

Whoa—what a nice surprise! I think you’ve put together a great resource for people looking for publishers. This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for four or five years ago. Can’t wait to see the updated version!

  2. RoosterTree says:

I had a couple of false starts, then retreated to doing a webstrip & freebie anthology comics, so I’m very interested in the guide you have in mind.
