To follow up on the last post about Aaron Wendel’s “Dwellings” animation: I found his website and spent some time looking at his wonderful drawings and watching his other animated shorts, and came across his Bubble Organ.

The Bubble Organ is an amazing musical instrument conceptualized and built by Aaron himself for a school project. Built out of discarded furniture and PVC pipe, the Bubble Organ uses various lengths of pipe filled with water to create it’s tones. When a key is depressed, an intake of air (from a balloon!) bubbles the water within the appropriate pipe, creating a certain pitch.
