Cartoonist Bill Alger is developing a new graphic novel for kids called Homeboy, and has started a blog to record his process and ideas over the next year.

“Homeboy is a kid who runs away from home, then wakes up the next morning to discover that a tiny version of his family’s home has become part of his head- with a little, noisy, bossy version of his family inside, still yellin’ at him. Yow!

I’ll be posting on this blog for the next 365 days to help motivate myself in the development of a graphic novel for kids (or maybe a chapter book), featuring Homeboy (a character I first sketched out years ago.) You’ll see posts of character designs, backgrounds, panels and other stuff. Yay!”
