I love the Writing Snippets podcast.

Not just because they’re based in Utah (which they are). Not only because they offer excellent writing tips and advice (which they do). I love them because they are genuinely dedicated to their craft and want to share with others what they have learned and how they are improving. That’s what I look for in a podcast on creative process, and they carry it in bulk!

The Snippets crew includes fantasy and sci-fi novelists, poets, writers of magazine articles, an award-winning picture book author, and short story authors, dedicated to helping, encouraging, and validating writers of all kinds.

The weekly podcast is a free, less-than-20-minutes, mp3, available for streaming on their website, and on iTunes.

As if all of that wasn’t good enough, Writing Snippets is running a contest for a free copy of Scrivener (powerful content-generated writing software) and all you have to do is leave a comment on one of their posts to be entered into the contest! It only runs through the end of May, so get listening and get commenting!

  1. awww, Jess, I am blushing *blush* see 🙂 Great shout out, thank you. We love helping others learn the ropes years before we did- and the less hard way too! Keep writing.
