UPSIDE DOWN

Upside Down: A Vampire Tale is my first graphic novel. The book stars Harold, a boy vampire who loses his teeth! He meets up with Vermillion – the last witch on earth – and soon finds himself caught up between a piano, a mad scientist and the end of the world!

It’s a spooky-fun tale for all ages and colored in black, white and Halloween green, available for now from Top Shelf Productions and bookstores everywhere.

PRAISE FOR “UPSIDE DOWN: A VAMPIRE TALE”

I really enjoyed Upside Down! It has a goofiness that reminds me of Joann Sfar, and the simplicity of its art is like a sophisticated version of Ed Emberley.” - Gene Luen Yang (American Born Chinese)

“…Smart, energetic storytelling, distinctive art and lashings of clever ideas.” - Dancing with Skeletons

The perfect balance between silliness, simplicity, and strange.” - Ray Friesen (Pirate Penguin vs. Ninja Chicken)

“…[Smiley] strays from pop-culture conventions into his own idiosyncratic monster mythology.” – Robot 6

It’s got charm, and that’s possibly the most important thing.” - Tom Gauld (Goliath)
