The Children’s Planet
The Tumbledown Library have just released their first music album, The Children’s Planet. Head Librarian, Jefferson Craig, describes the project as ”an album about The Children’s Planet, which explodes and sends its inhabitants across the galaxy. Hear where everybody, from Abigail to Zach, ends up!”
I can’t stop listening to these 27 tracks, where (following the intro) each song represents a different letter of the alphabet. The sound is just as clever, quirky and contagious as the album’s concept. It’s They Might Be Giants meets Pavement and it’s not just for kids!
The Tumbledown Library gave me an early listen to the album and asked if I would do the artwork for the CD and packaging. How could I refuse?! We worked together to build the disc, case, and fold-out poster, featuring all 26 children’s planets and including characters and items from each and every song.
Get The Children’s Planet for just $4 on bandcamp, or get the CD + digital download for a mere smear $10 here.
