I Won an Arty Award!
My first graphic novel, Upside Down: A Vampire Tale (October 2012, Top Shelf Productions), was recently nominated for an Arty Award from the Salt Lake City Weekly, and I just found out that my book won for the Best Graphic Novel/Zine! Hooray! Thank you to everyone that voted and got involved.
Keep watching this blog and the Upside Down facebook page for more behind-the-panels sketches and previews, as well as some upcoming Halloween-themed goodies!

Congrats!
Thanks!
Thats wonderful! Congrats! Is your Graphic Novel going to reach comic stores?
Thank you! Top Shelf distributes to book stores all over the U.S. and even a lot of international locations, as well as on their website and on Amazon. I’m really excited to see it at my local comic shop (Dragon’s Keep in Provo, and at Barnes and Noble). Do you have a favorite comics store?
Yeah! Austin Books and Comics.
Right on! While the book is available through all shops, it’s still up to the shop owners to decide what they order for the store. Comic book shops love getting requests, so you might want to suggest that they get some copies for the shop.
You’ve earned it!
Aw, shucks. Thanks.
Congratulations, Jess!!
Thanks! Now people can stop calling me a panth, right?
Great job!
