My Friends Make Cool Stuff
I have such incredibly talented friends, and I count myself lucky to know them. The world is truly a better place because of them, and their dedication to their passions. They inspire me to do and to be better. Here are a few things some of my pals have been up to:
KIMBERLY MUELLER
Kim married my good buddy some years ago, and became an instant friend of mine. Kim is taking the craft and blog worlds by storm with her cooking, sewing, costumes and more! She is working on a book right now all about the wondrous possibilities of Mod Podge. In the meantime, there are plenty of tutorials, experiments and giveaways on her blog, Bugaboo, Mini, Mr & Me.
JJ HARRISON
JJ is hilarious, draws comics and Adventure Time stuff, and has rad kids. Check out his pictures on the Tumblr.
GABE DOMINGUEZ
Gabe heads SHAKE YOUR PEACE!, a “San Francisco-based band playing a celebratory and political style of music called Whup – combining stylistic elements of bluegrass, Afro-Latin, gospel, and folk-rock.” Gabe’s music is infectious and something I’ve loved for the last twelve years. SHAKE YOUR PEACE! are recording their second album.
JOEL PETRIE
Actor, director, editor, producer…Joel does it all. He recently directed two commercials for the Summer Olympics (maybe you’ve heard of them?), and is constantly working on new projects for the film and stage. You can find Joel on imdb, as well as on YouTube.
ALEX BIGNEY
Although I’m just beginning to get to know Alex, I consider him a friend. Alex is an extremely intelligent and gifted man–a painter and an author–who has written one of the most important, captivating, and mysterious books I’ve ever read: Talking to Tesla, The Mirror that is the Door. Alex’s paintings have been exhibited in distinguished collections in the U.S. and internationally.
