Have you checked out Emanata yet? For those of you who have been following the free iPad app, you’ve probably caught on that Wednesday is New Comics day. That’s today!
Emanata has now published a total of 11 of my short comics, and they’re all available for free. These are comics that I’ve made for books, magazines, websites, and anthologies, and they are now available digitally via the app. I love that Emanata is focused on being social and easy to use, rather than focused on sales. The interface is a lot friendlier and easier to love than most comics apps I’ve seen and did I mention that it’s free?
I love how easy it is to follow artists, discover new comics, share and Tweet comics I like, and even let the artists know that I like what they do! Fellow comics-maker Louis Del Carmen (Steel Noodles) mentions on his blog that “What’s most encouraging is the care they have put in to make sure that the artists and creators who contribute keep what is most important to them: Ownership of their creations. With links directly to the respective artists’ sites, to direct mailing and Twitter integration. Emanata is truly helping bridge the gap from traditional to digital comics.”
Long story short: Emanata is the app to get for fresh new comics!
SHARE THE LOVE! If you’re already enjoying Emanata, why not them let them know at email@example.com? Or tweet: Check out @EmanataApp for the iPad. Free comics from @jess-smiley and more!
