LIFE, the UNIVERSE & EVERYTHING
2012 marks thirty years of the Life, the Universe and Everything (or LTUE) symposium on science fiction and fantasy. Every year, for the past thirty years, science fiction and fantasy authors, artists and filmmakers have gathered together at LTUE to share their love of the genres, and to run workshops, forums and presentations on creating literature, artwork and media.
Last year I was invited to participate in LTUE as a panelist on several forums, and I had an absolute blast getting to share my love for storytelling through writing, drawing and comics classes. This year I’ve been invited to present and participate in the following forums:
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8
1pm IDEA TO STORY : How to take your work from a simple idea, to a fully-developed story
3pm COMICS PUBLISHERS: Where to go, how to approach
5pm STORYBOARDING: for film and comics
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10
2pm ART: tools of the trade
7pm COMICS: laying out pages and making them look good
Guests of honor this year include: James A. Owen, Writing Excuses Podcast, Brandon Sanderson, Dan Wells, James Dashner, Larry Correia, David Farland, Brandon Mull, and Tracy and Laura Hickman. You can view the full schedule here, and find out more about the event at LTUE.ORG.
See you there!
