NEW PROVO LIBRARY CARD IS HERE!
The Provo Library has been a good friend of mine for a long, long time. I first discovered Stephen King’s writing at the Provo Library. Bill Peet and Roald Dahl were there, too—not to mention M.C. Escher’s work, and books of paintings from Pablo Picasso. Books on writing, drawing, epic fantasies that soared inside my mind, stories of magic and hope, as well as darkness and adventure stacked the shelves, and Dad made sure I always brought my own stack home nearly each week.
I still hop back-and-forth between the Orem and Provo Libraries each week, collecting new comics, novels and biographies to devour.
That’s why (at the prodding of a few friends—thanks, friends!) I decided to take part in the Provo Library’s contest to design their new card. I doodled up about 10 different designs, and decided on two that I ended up submitting.
Long story short: they picked my dinosaur design, printed it, and now it’s available to all patrons of the Provo City Library! Hooray!
My little boy even got his very own, his first library card!

awesome. That’s the coolest library card I’ve ever seen.
Way to go Jess!
That really is a great library card!
Thank you! I still feel a little electric every time I use it.
